Carly W:and Carly Wilson delivering the latest scoop from the digital realm. Strawberry Browser is an emerging agentic browser designed to automate online tasks and boost productivity using AI assistants. Unlike typical browsers, agentic browsers can perform actions like filling forms, booking reservations, and shopping by automating repeatable tasks. Strawberry Browser stands out by allowing users to create custom"skills" that can perform complex searches or actions based on user prompts. For example, a skill might scan multiple shoe retailers for specific types of shoes described by the user. The browser offers different AI companions tailored for particular tasks, such as shopping or sales lead refinement. Users install Strawberry Browser on macOS or Windows and create skills by naming them and defining prompts. Once set up, users can activate these skills via a simple interface or by typing commands. The browser then generates reports summarizing the results based on the skill’s parameters. Strawberry Browser’s AI-driven capabilities aim to make repetitive online activities more efficient and personalized. This innovative approach sets it apart from other agentic browsers built on Chromium.
Adam N2:Google has announced that its AI chatbot Gemini will be arriving on the Google TV Streamer and additional devices this winter. This update was shared on the Nest Community forum, suggesting a rollout timeframe between December and March. Previously, Google indicated Gemini would launch on the streaming device"later this year," but the exact date remains unclear. The announcement comes over a month after Gemini was first introduced on select smart TVs, including TCL’s premium QM9K line. Sony Bravia users have also reported access to the chatbot recently. Gemini replaces Google Assistant on Google TV, offering enhanced capabilities such as content searching, media control, and answering general questions. It allows users to make highly specific queries about TV shows and movies, improving the entertainment experience. Google has yet to clarify if the rollout will begin in December 2025 or early 2026. Further updates are expected once Google responds to inquiries about the precise release schedule. Meanwhile, Gemini continues to expand across Google's smart home ecosystem. Open A.I has completed a major restructuring, converting its business into a public benefit corporation following approval from Delaware and California attorneys general. This change allows Open A.I to more easily monetize its AI technology while remaining technically under nonprofit control. C.E.O Sam Altman indicated the company may eventually go public to support its capital needs, though no stock market debut was announced. Microsoft secured about a 27% stake in the new for-profit entity, slightly surpassing the nonprofit's 26% stake, as part of a revised partnership agreement. The attorneys general had investigated to ensure Open A.I maintains its commitment to safety and its charitable mission amid these changes. The nonprofit board retains oversight powers, including the ability to halt product releases, and will add independent members within a year. The restructuring follows tensions last year when Altman was briefly removed and then reinstated as C.E.O. Open A.I plans massive investments exceeding$1 trillion in data centers and AI development globally. Elon Musk continues to challenge the move legally, claiming Open A.I has strayed from its original mission, though a recent court denied his attempt to block the restructuring. Meanwhile, Microsoft’s shares rose 2 percent on the news, signaling investor optimism over the new agreement.
Carly W:While Open A.I dominates the AI chatbot market with Chat G.P.T and boasts around 800 million weekly users and$13 billion in annual revenue, Anthropic is emerging as a fierce competitor by focusing on corporate clients. Unlike Open A.I's consumer-focused approach, Anthropic prioritizes serious AI applications like coding, logical reasoning, and academic writing. Approximately 80% of Anthropic's revenue comes from business partnerships, contrasting with Open A.I’s 30% corporate revenue share. Reports highlight that Anthropic’s Claude outperforms Open A.I’s G.P.T-4.1 in coding and reasoning benchmarks, capturing 42% of the coding market compared to Open A.I’s 21%. Despite a smaller user base, Anthropic is projected to reach a$7 billion annual run rate, close to Open A.I's expected$9 billion by year-end. Anthropic's strategy rests on steady improvements in AI tools for enterprises, offering consistent funding and less reliance on consumer trends. Open A.I continuously rolls out new features and tools to maintain public interest, which is costly and risky. Their focus on entertainment and consumer applications, including AI image and video generation, may limit their appeal to serious business clients. Anthropic, backed by Google and Amazon, positions itself as a reliable partner for companies needing sophisticated AI for tasks like legal document creation and billing. This focused business model may prove to be the more sustainable approach to profitability in the AI industry. Adobe Max 2025 in Los Angeles has seen Adobe unveil a suite of AI-powered features across its Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, and Adobe GenStudio platforms. Central to these announcements is Adobe Firefly, now offering end-to-end video production tools, including Generate Soundtrack and Generate Speech in public beta, plus a Firefly video editor in private beta. Generate Soundtrack provides fully licensed, synchronized instrumental music, while Generate Speech allows multi-language voiceover creation. Firefly's Prompt to Edit tool lets users modify images through simple descriptions, and Firefly Boards can convert 2D imagery into 3D. Adobe also introduced Firefly Image Model 5 in public beta, a proprietary AI capable of native 4-MP photorealistic image generation without upscaling. Complementing these are Firefly Custom Models, enabling creator personalization of AI assets. Other Creative Cloud innovations include Photoshop’s Generative Fill now powered by Google Gemini 2.5, and Premiere Pro’s AI Object Mask, currently in public beta, designed to isolate objects for easier editing. Adobe Lightroom's Assisted Culling helps photographers filter large image batches by focus and sharpness. Additionally, new AI Assistants across apps like Adobe Express and Photoshop facilitate creative workflows by interpreting user commands and automating routine tasks.
