and Carly Wilson delivering the latest scoop from the digital realm. YouTube is introducing a new AI-powered tool designed to help creators generate free, copyright-free instrumental tracks for videos. This feature, part of the Creator Music beta section, was showcased in a recent video on YouTube's Creator Insider channel. Users can input prompts like"uplifting and motivational music for a workout montage," and the tool will generate corresponding tracks for review and download. Currently, the Music assistant is gradually being rolled out to users with access to Creator Music. This tool complements various existing AI music-generation technologies on the market, such as Stability A.I's diffusion model and Meta's AudioCraft and MusicGen models. YouTube has been actively exploring AI music options with features like a music remixer for Shorts and the Dream Track feature powered by Google's DeepMind. These initiatives demonstrate YouTube's commitment to providing innovative resources for content creators. The platform aims to simplify the process of adding music to videos while avoiding copyright issues. These advancements reflect a broader industry trend towards AI-driven content creation solutions.

The European Commission, led by Henna Virkkunen, remains firm on its digital regulations, asserting that these rules are not designed to single out American companies. Responding to trade tensions with the U.S, Virkkunen emphasized the EU's commitment to fair and safe digital standards, despite pressure from the Trump administration. Claims of the EU engaging in"lawfare" against U.S tech giants have been dismissed, highlighting that larger firms naturally face greater obligations due to their market impact. In trade discussions, Virkkunen welcomed the U.S decision to pause tariffs but stressed that all retaliatory measures remain under consideration if talks falter. Meanwhile, the EU is actively investigating major tech companies under the Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act, addressing issues of competitiveness and online harm. Despite concerns of a potential EU-U.S trade fallout, the focus remains on compliance, not imposing hefty fines. As Europe faces the challenge of lagging in AI development, a strategy featuring AI gigafactories has been proposed, with the aim of fostering innovation. The EU plans to implement AI regulations in a way that supports SMEs and developers, while also addressing copyright concerns. Virkkunen hinted at potential steps to ensure fair compensation for creative works used in AI training. The European strategy aims to strike a balance between innovation and protecting intellectual rights. Apple's much-anticipated Apple Intelligence Siri features are now expected to be released in the fall, despite previous reports suggesting a delay until 2026. Sources within Apple remain optimistic about the upcoming release, according to The New York Times. The new Siri capabilities will include advanced functions like editing and sending photos on request, showcased at Apple's WWDC event. These features promise a more personalized Siri experience, integrating personal context and onscreen awareness. Siri will be able to track emails, messages, and more, helping users stay organized. New functionalities include understanding and acting on screen content and handling complex tasks across apps. Despite setbacks, Apple has showcased and advertised these features extensively, including a TV ad featuring Bella Ramsey. The updates are part of Apple's broader artificial intelligence initiative, now branded as Apple Intelligence. The AI advancements have included integration with Chat G.P.T and improved natural language understanding. Apple has faced legal challenges due to delays, having been sued multiple times in California.

Open A.I has updated Chat G.P.T's Memory feature to remember not only user preferences but also all previous conversations. C.E.O Sam Altman has expressed excitement about AI systems becoming increasingly personalized. Originally launched a year ago, Memory now integrates saved details and chat history for enhanced interaction. Users can completely or partially opt out of the feature through settings adjustments. An option for temporary chats is also available if users prefer not to incorporate certain interactions into memory. Currently, the updated feature is accessible to Chat G.P.T Pro users in select regions but is not yet available in the UK, EU, and other specified countries. This feature expansion is a response to increasing demand for GPUs. Free users will need to await further rollout. The changes reflect Open A.I's commitment to improving A.I's personalization capabilities. Plus users will soon have access as well, albeit at a different subscription level.
