and Carly Wilson delivering the latest scoop from the digital realm. Meta C.E.O Mark Zuckerberg has announced a significant investment of$60-65 billion in capital expenditures for 2025 to enhance the company's AI infrastructure. These funds will support the construction of a new 2GW+ data center, partly located in Manhattan, set to bring 1GW of computing power online. Zuckerberg emphasized that AI would be a defining element this year, with plans to deploy over 1.3 million GPUs for powering AI initiatives. Meta aims to make"Meta AI" a leading digital assistant serving over a billion people, featuring the Llama 4 as a state-of-the-art model. This investment marks Meta's largest infrastructure expansion, aimed at driving product innovation and extending American technological leadership. It's reported that Meta has been pressured by the successful DeepSeek V3 model, which was developed on a smaller budget than Llama models. Concurrently, Project Stargate, a$500 billion AI infrastructure initiative, was announced by U.S President Donald Trump. This venture involves industry leaders such as Open A.I, SoftBank, Oracle, and MGX. Microsoft also plans to invest$80 billion in constructing data centers for AI workloads. Meanwhile, in India, Reliance Industries is planning the world's largest data center in Jamnagar.

The cosmetics industry is undergoing a transformation fueled by cutting-edge technology, revolutionizing beauty routines and product development. Artificial intelligence is at the forefront, with companies like L’Oréal offering AI-powered skin analysis tools that generate personalized skincare recommendations. Augmented reality innovations, such as Sephora’s Virtual Artist, enable virtual makeup try-ons, enhancing consumer experiences while promoting hygiene. 3D printing is breaking new ground by allowing custom makeup creations, seen in Mink's products and Chanel's uniquely designed mascara brush. Biotechnology offers sustainable ingredient sourcing, illustrated by Amyris’s eco-friendly squalane and Givaudan’s fragrance innovations. Brands are tapping into the skin microbiome trend, with products like La Roche-Posay's Lipikar Balm AP+ designed to support skin health. Nanotechnology is improving skincare through smaller, more effective particle formulations, particularly in sunscreen. Subscription boxes and light therapy are incorporating tech advancements for personalization and convenient at-home care. With virtual consultations emerging, brands like Clinique ensure personalized, remote skincare advice continues to grow. Overall, technology is making beauty more personalized, sustainable, and efficient, paving the way for future advancements in the industry. Audi has unveiled a remarkable off-roader concept based on their electric SUV, the Q6 Sportback E-Tron. This unique vehicle underwent extensive modifications, including the addition of portal axles, marking a significant engineering advancement for the brand. Portal axles, typically seen in military vehicles, and rare in production cars, are primarily used to increase ground clearance. Audi's new concept car sits on Venom Power Terra Hunter X/T all-terrain tires, boasting a rugged design with added features like a roof rack and extra lighting. While it's unclear if the prototype is derived from the standard or the enhanced SQ6 E-Tron, the latter sports a robust 483 horsepower and impressive performance metrics. The SQ6 E-Tron promises rapid acceleration and an extensive range thanks to its 94.4-kWh battery. Images reveal modifications like bulging wheel arches and enhanced approach angles due to a trimmed front bumper. Audi remains tight-lipped about certain specifications but hints at releasing more details soon. The concept stirs speculation about a production version, though confirmation remains uncertain.

Goldman Sachs has introduced a"GS AI assistant" to approximately 10,000 employees as part of its move to integrate AI into its workforce. The AI assistant currently focuses on summarizing and proofreading emails and translating code between programming languages. CIO Marco Argenti emphasizes the potential scope of AI in simplifying tasks for various professions. Other banks, such as JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley, are also investing in AI, promising eased workloads but hinting at possible future workforce reductions. Argenti predicts AI models might blur human and machine roles in three to five years. He envisions AI undertaking tasks autonomously like a human employee. However, concerns remain about A.I's"hallucinatory" tendencies and cybersecurity risks. Despite these challenges, there's optimism about A.I's self-improvement capability over time. Predictions suggest up to 200,000 banking jobs could be replaced by AI, particularly those involving repetitive tasks. Argenti emphasizes the crucial role of people in evolving and empowering AI moving forward.
